Since I was a child I’ve always felt surrounded by a variety of energies and presences in different planes of existence

which I wasn’t really able to describe, what they were or where they came from, but I often enjoyed being able to interact with them, sometimes I was scared, but most of the time I experienced them as pleasant energies to be around with.

As a child, you don’t ask too many questions and you don’t put too many boundaries, so it’s easier to have the chance to interact with anything you come across. 

Growing up I kind of lost this ability for a while, I’ve always believed, but it was different, and I haven’t connected anymore with this delicate part of me. In the last few years, I’ve been able to reconnect with myself in a slow process and the part of me that was able to connect with other energies woke up again, in a way more powerful than ever, more conscious.

I’ve always wanted to try a spirit board, but since I’ve never tried before I wanted to go for what to me felt safer to use for the first time. I wasn’t feeling comfortable buying the classic ouija board, even if I think is beautiful and I will buy one in the future. I wanted something with symbols that I could connect with protection and help me to keep my mind positive. That’s when I came across the Psychic Circle. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the one.

The board was created in the ’90s by a beautiful magical couple that put all of their love in this board and you can feel it.

It comes in a classic board game box reminding me of the ’80s and beginning of the ’90s, it contains the instructional booklet, the spirit board, and the planchette.

The board is a paper board, but really thick and steady it doesn’t look like it breaks easily, is quite big and you need a hard place like a table or a wooden board to place her on it or you can just use it on the ground. 

It’s full of colors and is protected with many different symbols, first of all, the four elements in the four corners of the board. Is meant to be read in a circle, and this is something I love, it feels so smooth and easy when the planchette moves around. There are words and letters, planetarian and astrological symbols, numbers, colors, and oracle pictures. All of them with a different interpretation. Sounds amazing right?

The planchette is a magically beautiful circle, all transparent, in a watery green color with a golden incision of the name of the board. Is thick and robust. Is made out of a resin-like lucid plastic, I would’ve love to have it made out of glass, but it’s still beautiful anyway. It’s a pleasure to use it and to feel it sliding across the board and you can clearly see through it.

The instructional booklet is made like a magazine with thick pages, still reminding me of the 80s/90s style. It contains everything you need to know about this board and how to use it, really helpful especially if you are using a spirit board for the first time, it also contains lots of different symbols, so is always helpful to have a hint of the meanings.

They start with an introduction of the board itself, then they give you few rituals to use to purifying and protect yourself and the board, which I find a really great way to start, especially if you’ve never used a spirit board before. You can decide to follow their rituals or to make your own, in any way is a wonderful way to surround yourself and to attract only the energies that you wish to attract.

Then they explain how the board works and how you can begin and end your session. After that, you will find the meanings and explanations of all the symbols present on the board.
